I will be following your blog if you don't mind.Vivianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04391126553849547771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603495601550498865.post-58529713167833641632008-12-01T13:29:00.000-06:002008-12-01T13:29:00.000-06:00I am in complete agreement! OK, it's not that lax but with finance out of the way it does feel like clear sailing...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09768977427807162504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603495601550498865.post-47499545103562253942008-11-18T08:57:00.000-06:002008-11-18T08:57:00.000-06:00Your reflections on the 'anchor-less' courses this...Your reflections on the 'anchor-less' courses this semester (other than Finance)really resonated with me. I just hadn't quick recognized it so succinctly. Could be that I was just reflecting in the shower (don't go there)that I had no idea what would be worth preparing for the Ethics final. If your factory burns down, don't fire anyone, but don't keep them around either? Or is it just: sleep well, either choice will get you vilified.

There must be some truth to us leaving with lower ethical standards then when we arrived. Despite a couple of econ classes as an undergrad, I'd never heard the Adam Smith position that unrestrained self-interest has collateral benefits to society. So my only real take away from Ethics class is don't worry about stakeholders, they are just whiny. Now I know my pre-CEMBA self would consider that a change in ethical frame.

*sigh*

Perhaps if my own family needs didn't prevent more beer with classmates I'd feel better about it..Natohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05255031752483129056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603495601550498865.post-59189413359098359402008-11-01T14:52:00.000-05:002008-11-01T14:52:00.000-05:00Nicely summarized and good job to summarize that w...Nicely summarized and good job to summarize that which many of us were probably thinking through the lecture.Jeremy Lenzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02009594056980283750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603495601550498865.post-45909233875284933472008-10-21T09:02:00.000-05:002008-10-21T09:02:00.000-05:00Rob, shake it off...two more classes are almost do...Rob, shake it off...two more classes are almost down for the count.
